A facile method of successive intercalation, grafting and exfoliation of graphite oxide in monomers by g-ray irradiation to obtain functionalized graphene nanosheets was reported. The monolayer percentage of functionalized graphene nanosheets was sharply increased and the agglomeration showed a significant decrease.
